About Us

Made in Brighton Ltd. was established in October 2003 with the core aim of enhancing the ability and capacity to produce theatre performance, in its widest sense, in Brighton and beyond.

“Made in Brighton Ltd. Is about discovering and supporting a new generation of producers. We want to invest in Brighton, to turn it form a receiving town, into a vibrant producing City” (Simon Fanshawe, Chair)

Our foundation was the result of work done on the creative industries sector as part of the city status bid by Brighton and Hove, and a subsequent initiative taken by the Arts Council England South East. Our aim is that the experience gained by practitioners will create a legacy of professional expertise, relationships and infrastructure.

We are active in meeting artists, companies and organisations in around Brighton and Hove, helping, supporting, guiding and championing ideas and individuals. There are currently several projects that we are actively involved in. You can see them on the current projects page.

Our organisation consists of three professional producers, a trainee producer and a dedicated board. Find out more about who we are.
